Outlaw. Bandit. Hooligan.

The adventures have already begun.
I picked Tia up from the airport (Wheeee! I can't believe she's HERE!!!) & I got a bit too excited I guess --& chatty-- while inadvertantly hightailing it down the dark unlit highway. Enter... the po po. All the blue & red lights were very thrilling. And the spotlight was quite dramatic. Then the nervous giggling began. I have never been pulled over before. And I made sure to tell that to the officer. All he mumbled was, "Oh, I see...." He didn't care. And then he asked what brought me from Washington to Nebraska. "Oh, my husband's a new pastor in town. hee hee?"
Thankfully I only got a warning & some terrible self portraits.

  4. LOL. I think you are the only one I "know" who would be taking pics while in the midst of being pulled over. :)

Fun story about "po-po" My 12 yo has always struggled in school due to her CAPD and anxiety. Two years ago in fifth grade I got a geography test back I needed to sign because she had written for the question- what is a relief map and who would use it? - A map that the police, the po-po, the 5-0 use.

I couldn't stop laughing long enough to sign it OR explain to her if she doesn't know the answer just leave it blank. We're gangsta here. ;)

  5. Yay for breaking the law! :) I was pulled over a few months ago for doing 50 in a 35 (obvs I was late for work) and the officer asked me why I was speeding and the first thing that popped into my head was, "Well I have my period and I have to get to Walmart before work." he let me go. :) I felt so dumb after.

  7. Only you would take pictures! What if he would have seen you - he would have thought you were a nut! That is just so funny though. What a good start to the wild times of Tia and Nikki!

  8. Hahahahaha!! The po po!! And I LOVE the expression on your face!! Hubs and I were pulled over last weekend for, apparently, making an illegal left turn onto a deserted road. The officer had mercy on us and just gave a warning because it was our anniversary :)

  9. Oh my. The rep you are gonna earn in a small town.... "Did you hear about the new pastor's wife? I hear she got picked up by the cops IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT with some strange woman in the car with her.. and she took A PICTURE!" Your poor, poor, husband. Does he had a pre-planned sermon that will fit this contingency? LOL You are Tia are GROUNDED!
