Lovin' the bottle cap ideas. I have a bag full of them from years ago that I never tossed (I made ONE frame with them and never did anything with the rest of them!). I should get crafting! How'd you end up with Sundrop caps? :) Thought that was just a "southern thang".
Kathy-Nope. My 4 year old picked on her own free will. I had her pose for me, wearing each bottle cap badge while making a silly face for the listings in my shop. She paused to {pick} & I snapped the photo! haha!
HAHA!! LOVE the picture! Enter me in the contest! You know- once upon a time when I was in high school, my backpack was COVERED in bottelcaps. I loved the noise they made as I entered my class late. :) I miss that backpack!
Ok I just had to comment when I saw the picture. I was wondering if you had asked her to do that too until I saw your response to that question. That is too cute. LOL! Good luck to all hoping to win a badge, crossing my fingers for all of you. :-) I think they are super cute and creative Nikki.
I just came across these lovely pins on etsy! They make me so happy. I clasped my hands together and literally squealed when I came across this blog post.
If I don't win, though, I'm still going to buy two immediately (one for myself and one for my pal for when we go adventuring)
Hy Nikki, I think at least half my photos of the kids have them doing something gross or unplanned! C'est la vie...sigh. Didn't take me long to decide the Brownie Chocolate bottle cap was my favourite (chocolate...need I say more?). The Birch Beer one would be good for my bro-in-law, he's always wearing one beer-branded t-shirt or other (but only the "high class/gourmet" ones)!
Your description of "Up" the other day prompted me to take the kids to the movie on Saturday. We laughed, I cried, they stared in awe, and we screamed with delight. Your pins are a wonderful idea. Thanks for sharing the crafty fun.
I saw "UP" a couple of weeks ago and the first thing I fell in love with were the bottle cap pins! I love the idea!!! I would dearly love to have one! I also love your blog AND the music! :) Hugs! Marlys <><
Love the pick...great shot, hehehe! Back in the day, I had a night table that I glued bottle caps on...it was very cool...I gave it to my son. Love, love, love bottle caps and your blog! Very inspirational! Thanks! Carol Lynn
oh my goodness! when the old man give the little guy his "ellie" award i completely BROKE DOWN!!!! when i saw your badges i was taken right back to all that emotion! you're amazing, truly. thanks for the moment. it's made me more grateful than ever....and made me feel like i need to do something more for my husband, something simple but more that he will treasure for all time! thanks again. =)
Those are just perfect! I just say the movie last night, and I cried through the whole thing! What a great idea- and the caps you've used are super cute!
