I am working on this book made from cardstock & brown paper lunch bags. I learned how to make it on the internet. I'm always looking for fun little crafty things to make for a MOPS group I am involved in- (Mother Of PreSchoolers). I guess my title there is "Creative Activities Leader". But I prefer "Nik, Nik, the Crafty Chik".
This group really became a place of sanity for me when I started going 3 years ago with my 2 year old & a new baby. It's a once-a-month thing, for 2 hours, but you get to hang out with other moms of wee ones, get free breakfast & free childcare, get encouraged in your mommy-ness, & learn a new crafty trick! This September will be my 4th year attending & my 3rd year volunteering as "Crafty Chik". I don't know why I said all that, but there it is!
Anyway, don't you love the book? I'm not all the way done with it, but I think it's totally cute. It was fun to make too! And, of course, my beloved cupcakes adorn the front cover.....& the insides. The paper bags form pockets that you can tuck little secrets or treasures into.
Hi! That is such a cute book! What cute scrap book for a vacation or something... cute cupcakes... okay, can I say cute anymore? cute, cute CutE!

OMG, it's super darling! :) I agree with bella-- would be a great vacay book (for mementos and ticket stubs, etc. in the bags and journalling and pics on the pages?)
ReplyDeleteCan we officially call you "Nik, Nik the Crafty Chick", too?? :D
Oooh, I love the vacation scrapbook idea! I just bought some totally cheesy hawaiin/hula girl/tropical flower paper. I'm thinkin' I'm gonna make one for this summer! We're actually gonna take our first summer vacay to the BEACH!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so silly! (*"Nik, Nik the Crafty Chick"*)
