An Almost Perfect Day

I had a really nice trip yesterday up to Everett, WA. My dad, sis, newborn nephew & I drove up to be with family at my Great Auntie's memorial. But, it was really cool because it wasn't a depressing funeral home memorial service. We decided to go to a really nice restaurant & be together--there were 14 of us--& just share stories about my Aunt. It was so nice. It wasn't a sad day at all. It was a celebration indeed!

The view from the restuarant was amazing too! Right on the water. Ahhh, I loved it. The reason the day was "almost" perfect is because after a 4 hour trip up there, & a 3 hour visit & meal with family, I had to head back on the road for a 4 hour trip home! I wanted to stay so badly & head up to Anacortes where the rest of the family was going. But, my wifely & motherly duties called! It was a nice "Nikki Day" with lots of my family anyway...
