The girls & I cut pictures from magazines & then glued them onto pieces of cardstock. (I cut an 8 1/2" x 11" piece into 4 equal cards.) Then, we played a game: We tried to get our teammate to say what the picture was by using words to describe it. You can time each other to see who does it in the fastest time.
I got the idea from page 20 of the April 2007 issue of Family Fun magazine.
It reminds me of the game Taboo---you have to describe a word that is printed on the card & get your team to guess what it is. But you also have a list of words you cannot use when describing your word.
So, we put a twist on this magazine picture game to make things a bit more challenging: We wrote a few words on each card that could not be used.
For instance, if the picture is a dog, you cannot use the words "bark, cat, wag, or bone".
Fun, huh?
