Dear Summer Diary,
The girls & I were lucky enough to receive the latest Klutz book entitled "Fabulous Flowers" for review on our blog!
We definitely liked that the book came with all but a few simple supplies that we already had around the house. (Scissors, nail clippers & a jar were all we needed!) Here is a sneak peek of two pages inside the book...
The book shows you how to make 8 different styles of flowers, & once you learn a few simple techniques, you can put your own spin on the flowers & mix-n-match how you wish! The book contains 26 pages of over 200 punch out pieces!
My 8 year old decided to make the larkspur. All the flower petals, parts & pieces are INSIDE the book & they're easy to punch out & put together! We loved the way the instructions tell us how to make them in easy step-by-step instructions.
My 6 year old had trouble paying attention & following along with me. We both decided to make zinnias. At one point I looked over at her & saw this... (Thus the ever important 8+ book age recommendation!)
I think these flowers would look adorable attached to gifts & birthday packages, glued to clips for your hair, attached to a pin as a brooch, or strung up as a garland!
Click HERE for a teaser video to see some of the fab flowers you can create.
We'd like to share our summer fun with you & give 2 books away to 2 lucky blog fans!! Just leave a comment on this post & we'll choose 2 names this Friday afternoon, June 10th.
♥
Nikki
