30 Bags in 30 Days

I found this idea on pinterest, only it was "40 Bags in 40 Days". I made my own list & only came up with 30. In a month's time (right before the girls start school) I hope to be decluttered & on my way to living a simple life. And, yes, I've devoted 4 days to decluttering my art studio. If you could only see it, you'd prolly suggest I even add another day or two. That'll be the hardeset room to go through. I'm tackling these in no particular order. I'll let you know how it goes...

  1. Is the goal to remove a bag each day or just tackle a different area each day.

I like this idea. I look around my house and think I am a couple months away from Hoarders showing up at my door :-) I want to declutter so baaad.

  2. I'm making a goal of AT LEAST a bag a day. As you can see, I have a few rooms listed on there more than once, because I don't want to overwhelm myself with too much & get discouraged in the process. The "40 Bags in 40 Days" project did the same thing. Only they broke there's up even more into each room "junk drawer", "shoes", "clothes", etc.

  3. That's an awesome idea! One of my goals this summer was to declutter and organize the house before fall semester. I will most definitely be doing this :)

  8. love this idea! Can I ask - what size of bag? a Walmart sized bag or a garbage bag? or can it vary according to which room/drawer you're de-cluttering?

  9. Hi Brenda!
I don't think the size of the bag matters---as long as you're getting rid of stuff: trash or donations!

  10. Great idea. A big job broken into smaller bits is easier to swallow. And accomplish! I'm with so many others, cluttered house. Too much stuff, too little house. It's so nice to have a decluttered space. You can actually breath better! Good luck!!
