A Good Day

It felt so good to open up the doors to my empty shop this afternoon, & start filling it with goodies.
I decided to use my love of writing by adding a little story to the beginning of the product description for each vintage button ring. No more than a few sentences each. Zoey had fun reading them all. Some are true, some are made up.

And so now it's evening. The kidlets are in bed. We are halfway through reading Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Farmer Boy". I am cuddled in bed with the laptop. A pumpkin buttercream candle is glowing on the bookshelf.  (Though my current favorite candle for autumn is "Mulled Cider" from the cheap-o brand of candles at Walmart.) A mug of fireside mocha sits on the nightstand next to me. It needs reheated. I always have to reheat my hot drinks. I'm contemplating knitting. (Working on another piece to add to my knitted totem pole on Main Street....& also a scarf gift...and also another postcard for grandmother.)
I've been listening to Adele all day. Love THIS video & song.

Spent the past few days finishing watching the last season of "So You Think You Can Dance". Chills all the time. So happy Melanie won. Also watched the first episode of the new season of Glee. We've given up Netflix, but I just need that "company" whilst I sit & craft. Ya know?

Tomorrow is my turn to prepare the church brekkie. Last week someone made an amazing egg dish. The week before someone had baked an assortment of breads. Tomorrow... we're having cereal. haha! I bought a bunch of those mini boxes of sugary cereal. And oatmeal. And things to put on top of cereal, like bananas & blueberries & raspberries. And I'm totally excited about it. I call the Sugar Smacks!

Anyway, just stopping by to say hello & stuff.
Happy Weekend!

  1. I love the cheapie candles from Walmart. It's only October 2nd and we've already burned almost one whole fall-scented jar candle from there. Makes the house smell so yummy!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. Every time you do, I do a little happy dance. For reals.
