Summer Diary: Day 45: Paper Toys

While browsing flickr yesterday, looking for free backgrounds for the "Word Art" project, I stumbled onto a group called Vintage Crafts, Print-&-Make Paper Toys. The group is dedicated to collecting scanned images of unfinished vintage paper projects so that people like me (& you!) can print them out & make them ourselves. It truly is a paper toy heaven. I printed so many toys off for my girls & these are a few we made today.

The girls each chose a jointed doll. I printed them onto white cardstock. After the girls cut out the pieces, I helped to attach brads to the limbs.

Here are the finished jumping jacklady:

I made this project:

And I can't wait to make THIS kitchen scene, THIS face game (& THE ONE UP TOP too), THIS French village...
Oh my. I could really play all day!

  2. This looks great! Thanks for sharing the link. Sometimes I wish we lived closer, so we could all play together. But then, we probably wouldn't get anything else done!
