Today I took some pictures for a couple's 60th wedding anniversary. Their family surprised them with a party & a large gathering, complete with cake, punch, nuts & those little pastel candies shaped like pillows that melt in your mouth.
I don't even know these people. A friend asked me if I wouldn't mind photographing some family group shots at the party, since it had been eons since they'd had any taken. I don't have any professional equipment, & the setting wasn't fitted with professional-like backdrops. I made-do & tried my best.
I volunteered my time & my talents.
And it felt good.
