Lookie! Lookie! See this cool book? Well, guess who's "how-to" instructions for making fork easel stands is on page 29? MIIIIIINE!

Photojojo! insanely great photo projects and DIY ideas hits bookstores & online retailers today! Little ole me is mentioned as a "Contributing Guru", along with many other great artists & crafters. Yahoo!! The book is full of AMAZINGLY fun photo projects, inspiration, ideas, tips, & tricks: Photos on cupcakes? I'm there. Eyeglass frames? I'm scouring for vintage cat-eyes as we speak. And one of my fave projects: Disposable Camera Chain Letter (a.k.a. Around the world in 24 photos) I'm TOTALLY doing it.

The creators of the book, Amit Gupta & Kelly Jensen, will be on The Early Show on CBS today (Sept 15th) to promote the book.

A few months ago someone from GLAMOUR Magazine, Greek edition contacted me.

This & That & Stuff & Things

This might be a longer post with a lot of items that don't relate at all. But, I've so much to talk about! First of all, my body is so sore. This weekend the fam got together for some picnic time & boating. My bro got a new knee-board for his b-day & I thought I'd give it a go. I have never been so frustrated in my life. I really wanted to conquer that thing. It brought back all my past feelings of extreme competitiveness in one huge surge. I actually got up on the board 2 times, but my knees were not all the way in position & the board just started going all loopy & wobbly & I couldn't hold on. I tried so hard to pull myself up MANY times after that, but eventually my arms just gave out. I got a picture of my brother on the board. Just pretend it's me on there, only I lasted about 4.2 seconds. Poo. And Grrrrr.

I stumbled upon a copy of our local arts & entertainment magazine called 'The Reactor', & found my little 'WhiMSy love' highlight inside! It was quite cool to see. And, it was really fun to see other Etsy artists that are very near to me! I might have to send some a message with a quick "Howdy neighbor!" attached. Cupcakes From a Wee Point of View...

Ok, proud mommy moment here. My 4-year old painted her FIRST CUPCAKE PICTURE!! Forget the first locket of hair! First step?-Who cares? We're talkin' cupcake art here people! I want a wall full of them! I want more, more, more! My little crafty girl knows what mama likes! Anyway, isn't it adorable? Of course you're not going to say "no". She has even inspired me to give a try at some cupcake masterpieces...

And, I was just sent a email from a lady that works for Reactor Magazine, a regional arts & entertainment (free) magazine that focuses on my local area--the Tri-Cities--& surrounding areas. She is in charge of a new DIY section in that publication & wants to highlight my Etsy shop in the upcoming issue. She said the bit would include my shop's name, web address, where I'm from, and a small picture of my newly listed "CUPCAKE Mini Tag Banner"! My "highlight" would be "in the company of a few other great Etsyers." & has a distribution of 10,000. Isn't that just slightly awesome? I do find it kind of odd that she chose my cupcake banner to highlight though. They don't seem like the "cutesy" type, but it IS a new section in the mag & she did mention they are undergoing a full remodel.

She found me through Etsy, cause she has a shop there called My Pop.

(And why am I posting so early? This night owl usually has the WhiMSy love report ready when the moon is up. Well, THIS morning I was up with all the other swim moms to sign my oldest wee one up for swim lessons. I SO don't fit in with all the other swim moms! This next 2 weeks should be very intersting...)
