I'm happy to say that my
Vintage-Button-Ring-of-the-Month-Club is getting great exposure since being featured on the
CRAFT:blog. Yesterday someone informed me of another blog that my 'Ring Club' is mentioned on. I checked it out. And...yikes. People left horrible comments about my rings that really made my cheeks flush & I felt so awful & tiny inside. It wasn't nice at all.
I thought it wasn't anyway. I just wanted to crawl into a hole. The write-up was fine, but the nasty people who couldn't say anything nice were in full force. Maybe I, the crafty artista, was just taking it too personal. Gotta get used to the meanies, too, I suppose.
Well, today is ANOTHER (3rd day in a row but who's coooouuunting?) school cancellation due to snow for my wee ones. You can guarantee I'll be sleeping in. I think we'll get crafty today....maybe make some button rings.
But, gee, I just wish I'd hear back from GLAMOUR:Greece about the ring photos & press release they requested...(In yer FACE meanies! hahaha!)
Hello Nikki! I have been reading you very creative blog for a few months now and must finally tell you how much I enjoy your energy and perk! Your Retro style is so refreshing these Ueber Modern Days. I am sorry some people like to rain on your parade! Those meanies will all get wet coal in their Christmas stockings! If I were not a nice old Victorian cat, I would put the bity on them! Thank you for letting me peek into the window of your world...
ReplyDeletePurrrrs Miss Peach (who lives in a cozy cottage in Pasco)
What? Are you serious?
ReplyDeleteI've never understood how people can be mean about art. They must just be extremely mal-adjusted. I was excited to see you on the CRAFT blog and Glamour sure sounds exciting!!
Karma will catch up with the meanies!
And OMG on my blue owlie! Yeehaw - the whole owlie fam is super stoked about their blue cousin!! And TY 4 the goodies! UR a gem!
The rings are beautiful! I can't imagine what anybody could find bad about them!
ReplyDeletejust remember, when people say mean things, they are just jealous! your rings are adorable :) mean people suck! *lol*
ReplyDeletePoo Poo on them...You just ignore those meanies. Your customers love you!
ReplyDeletelovin' EVERYTHING you do. raspberries to those meanie guys!
ReplyDeleteOh, dear! That is unfortunate! I would say "don't take it too personally", but of course you do. I would. We creative people put ourselves 'out there' when we sell our wares. I wish people could understand the passion, work, blood, sweat and tears we put into what we do. Then maybe they would bite their tongues.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy, crafty, snowed-in kind of day with your children.
I'm sorry to hear that you met some meanies.
ReplyDeleteDon't they know...
if you can't say anything nice...
don't say anything at all?
take care!

Clearly the meanies missed the "bright fun jewelery" bit describing your rings! They must be fun-suckers. That can be the only explanation. I think your rings are SUPER cute, whimsical, and cheery!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work, and just say no to fun-suckers!
Getting meanie reviews just means you are famous! Chin-up.
ReplyDeleteMeanies stink like dirty socks!
ReplyDeleteSorry you got your feelings hurt, but I think your rings are adorable!
i will never understand the need for people to do that. i totally understand all about 'levelling'. obviously THEY could never have the talent you have and they just want to bring you down to their level, but as my parents always told me - 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!'
ReplyDeleteyou rock, they suck
That is so lame. Your rings are gorgeous and so are you! you know what they say, you're not successful until you have jealous haters! =) Keep that gorgeous head up girl!
ReplyDeleteJerks. I love the ring I bought from you and get comments every time I wear it. Maybe those people are related to the people who kick puppies and steal candy from babies.
ReplyDeleteJealousy makes people do mean things. I bet none of them haven't got nearly 100 followers to their blogs!
ReplyDeleteDon't let their comments even take up space in your head!
Hugs and sloppy things
xx
rude. I think your rings are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteJerk face meanies just don't know cute when they see it! Don't let 'em get you down :)
ReplyDeleteYour rings are the bestest!! ;O) I still wear mine all the time and I'm way excited to give my friends the ones I just bought! ;O) Screw the Scrooges!
