I Wear Socks to Bed.

I was tagged by Terri from Sleepless Nights With The Harlans.
So, here goes...

10 HONEST THINGS ABOUT ME.

1. I keep getting more & more forgetful. It started happening after I had kids & it gets worse & worse. And the fact that I get lost REALLY easily is not a good combo.

2.I used to keep my things so neat & tidy. Not so much anymore. I try, though. Not very hard.

3. I hate talking on the phone. And I'm not that great at keeping up correspondence with my friends & family. That doesn't mean I don't love you though. And you all know who you are.

4. I need to lose 40 pounds. It's all that baby weight. (Who cares if my youngest is 4 1/2. It's still her fault.) But seriously, I'm gonna start Tae Bo again.

5. I bite my fingernails. They are always unkempt. I am NOT a froo froo manicure girl. Although, I wish I were more girly. In fact, screw it. I'm paintin' my nails tomorrow. Who cares if they're bit down to the nubbin's?

6. I don't want to get old. Not because I'm afraid of wrinkles. Or saggy body parts. I'm not sure why exactly.

7. I spend way too much time on the computer. (My Etsy shop, blogging, editing photos...)

8. I wear socks to bed.

9. I'm not a fan of my food touching. If it happens sometimes then that's o.k. But, THE WORST foods that could ever touch are when my eggs touch the syrup from my pancakes. GROOOOOSSSSSS!

10. When I plop my head down on the pillow every night, it takes me a while to fall asleep. My mind is always clicking & ticking. Often I even have a notepad next to me so I can jot down ideas or thoughts.

I was also given an award by the fellas over at Dajon Designs. They discovered me & my little ole blog during the One World One Heart giveaway event & I'm pleased they've decided I'm one of their "favorites"! Thank you!

OK, so I'm not so great at passing the meme torch, so if you leave a comment, you have to declare one honest thing about yourself.

  3. I've got #3, #4, #6, MAJOR #7, and I read for at least an hour to try to avoid #10.

  4. I hear ya on the eggs and syrup thing. I won't even put syrup on my plate until I've finished eating my eggs. I just can't take the chance of a run-in.

  5. I still sleep with my little blankie in bed! I just can't get rid of it. I used to say when I get married I will sew it underneath my wedding dress and be done with it. Didn't happen. I used to say when I turn 30 I will get rid of it. Didn't happen. I love it and it's not going anywhere- except for falling apart!

And about the food touching... yesterday my mom and I ate some lasagna together for lunch. Then she had a piece of strawberry cake leftover from Monday. AND SHE PUT IT IN THE SAME BOWL THAT SHE ATE HER LASAGNA IN..... with all of that red lasagna sauce stuck to the sides and bits of meat and cheese and pasta.... I was totally grossed out.

  8. cool list nik! one honest thing about me - i'm anal about grammar and spelling. i've just had an argument with my husband about the abbreviation of until to till, but apparently it's an actual abbreviation!

i think the food not touching thing is weird, but i have a friend who's like that - i never knew it was a thing TIL i met her!!!

  9. Hahaha. I wear socks to bed and my husband HATES it. I can sleep if anything else is cold, but not my feet. Oh, and they're argyle socks which happen to be my favorite. The catch is that they never match. Usually one black/grey sock and one white/tan sock. :)

  10. I did something like this on FaceBook and came up with a hilarious list. OK- hmm.. I will laugh hysterically, for absolutely no reason, any time of day and in any place. It pretty much drives everyone nuts because once I get going I really can't stop. :) I get lost easily too- which is why I have a GPS in my van even to go to a store in the next town- I just don't know where I'm going.

  12. Ok 1-7 I have the same issue. I used to wear socks to bed. And I do have some issues with food touching. Ice cream and cake..ugh. :-P Humm something honest about myself...*cough* I sleep with a teddy bear in my bed. No, I don't hug him. He just sits there in the corner of my bed and I can't sleep without him there. Its weird. I can tell if he's not there without looking. LOL!

  15. I HATE the phone also. Hate it. Much prefer email.

But my honest thing? I guess that I have a phobia of movie theatres filled with people making loud eating noises. I don't see a lot of movies. :)

You don't look like you need to lose 40 pounds, I might add! :)
