I Wear Socks to Bed.

I was tagged by Terri from Sleepless Nights With The Harlans.
So, here goes...

10 HONEST THINGS ABOUT ME.

1. I keep getting more & more forgetful. It started happening after I had kids & it gets worse & worse. And the fact that I get lost REALLY easily is not a good combo.

2.I used to keep my things so neat & tidy. Not so much anymore. I try, though. Not very hard.

3. I hate talking on the phone. And I'm not that great at keeping up correspondence with my friends & family. That doesn't mean I don't love you though. And you all know who you are.

4. I need to lose 40 pounds. It's all that baby weight. (Who cares if my youngest is 4 1/2. It's still her fault.) But seriously, I'm gonna start Tae Bo again.

5. I bite my fingernails. They are always unkempt. I am NOT a froo froo manicure girl. Although, I wish I were more girly. In fact, screw it. I'm paintin' my nails tomorrow. Who cares if they're bit down to the nubbin's?

6. I don't want to get old. Not because I'm afraid of wrinkles. Or saggy body parts. I'm not sure why exactly.

7. I spend way too much time on the computer. (My Etsy shop, blogging, editing photos...)

8. I wear socks to bed.

9. I'm not a fan of my food touching. If it happens sometimes then that's o.k. But, THE WORST foods that could ever touch are when my eggs touch the syrup from my pancakes. GROOOOOSSSSSS!

10. When I plop my head down on the pillow every night, it takes me a while to fall asleep. My mind is always clicking & ticking. Often I even have a notepad next to me so I can jot down ideas or thoughts.

I was also given an award by the fellas over at Dajon Designs. They discovered me & my little ole blog during the One World One Heart giveaway event & I'm pleased they've decided I'm one of their "favorites"! Thank you!

OK, so I'm not so great at passing the meme torch, so if you leave a comment, you have to declare one honest thing about yourself.

A Random Game of Tag

I was recently tagged by Kara from Innocent Charms Chats, & Mimi & a couple other people, but I'm sorry to say I can't remember who. So, I'm hoping this tag can make up for ALL of them. K?

7 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME...

1. I was never "the pretty girl" but rather "the funny one" or better yet "the pretty girl's funny friend".

2. I can peel & slice an avocado most excellently. (And I LOVE to eat them.)

3. Since we're on the topic of food....I've never tried sushi. It sounds disgusting, I'm sure I'll throw up or gag if it touches my mouth, but I'm not saying I'll NEVER try it someday. I do, however, love eating California Rolls. Mr. WhiMSy love surprised me with an order of them the other day that we shared for lunch. Wasabi & soy sauce---yum.

4. I have pointy elbows. They're kind of curved & pointy. Not the most adorable part of me.

5. I can't wait for my 6-year old to be old enough to have an Easy Bake Oven--so I can play with it too.

6. If I order french fries at McDonald's I LOVE to dip them in their honey mustard sauce.

7. And with this next random bit I'm at risk of looking like a fool. But since when has that ever stopped me?

I had a wacky time with my hair the other night. I twisted little sections & held them in place with bobby pins. I think my mom used to do this as a teenager. But she'd sleep all night with hers in. (Someday I'll try that.) I guess these are a version of pin-curls, but mine were done a little more messy & haphazard.

I dried my hair while it was twisted. My girls got the best giggles from seeing their mommy like this. And my hubby even raised an eyebrow at my twist-up-do. (Not one of those "good" eyebrow raises either. But, instead, one that says, "My wife is nuts.")

But when it was all done, I couldn't help sayin', "How ya like me now? How ya like me now?"

I'm completely awful at tagging people in this game. So, if you're feeling random, go ahead & enjoy making a list of your very own!

Q is for....QUIRKY.

I have been tagged by jellybelly jellybrain to post 6 quirky things about myself. Where shall I begin?......

1. A couple times my girls & I have seen a squirrel, underneath a tree in our yard, digging in the ground, depositing his acorn, & patting the dirt back on top. We always go over & dig the acorn up. I know, we're mean. But, that squirrel's probably got, like, a bajillion other acorns in other secret locations.

2. When I was little, I used to wonder if my dolls came to life when I left my bedroom. I'd sometimes leave my room, but wait around the corner & then jump back real quick & say, "AH HA!" They never moved. Those sneaky buggers. And I'm almost positive one of my Cabbage Patch dolls was the ring leader. Here, in this video I'll recreate the scenario for you....(Pardon my wee ones messy room!)

3. When I was about 14 years old I used to get a little extra cash by selling handmade skateboard stickers. I would draw designs on those sticky white mail labels & when I was satisfied with my artwork I would put clear packing tape across the top & cut around the sticker to give it a clean edge. My brother would sell them for me in our apartment complex. I don't think I made over 20 bucks, but still!

4. I used to hide behind my long hair, so when I was 19 I shaved all my hair off. I had been gone for 4 months to Quebec Canada, the eastern United States & Honduras on a Discipleship Training School with YWAM (Youth With a Mission). It was sort of an outward expression of the change I felt inwardly. Yes, I know. I was super skinny & super young. Oh, those were the days....

5. I like to buy toiletries, makeup & housecleaning supplies in only pink colors. This is a recent addiction. So, not all the bottled cleansers & body sprays have crossed over. Yet.

6. My favorite part about my physical appearance is my freckles.

So there. Now, I'm off to tag others...
1. Beck
2. Sylvia
3. Kara-The Simple Life
4. Jeanetta
5. Laura

Tag-er-Riffic!

I was tagged today by Julia B. at Marmalade Kiss AND by Sue at My Home WellingtonTown a while back so I guess before I leave for vacay, I'll leave you with random reading material...

1. What was I doing ten years ago?
Let's see...it was 1998. I was 23 & living in Scottsdale, Arizona with my parents. (Long story, don't ask.) I had met Mr. WhiMSy love (who wasn't "Mr. WhiMSy love" yet) 2 months prior, so we were hanging out every single day (until we married 10 months later). It was a super fun time in my life--hanging with my favorite guy in the whole world, chillin' by the pool, enjoying relaxing days, tan & fit, living a really sweet life.

2. 5 things on my to do list for today...
1-PACK!
2-Finish laundry!
3-Clean the house!
4-See my baby twin nieces in the hospital!
5-Make some skullie & cupcake tees for my niece & nephew that we'll see in Arizona.

3. Snacks I enjoy...
Ice cream, watermelon, italian sodas, lime & chile flavored almonds...just to name a few.

4. Things I would do if I was a billionaire...
I think I would do the usual things most people would do: Pay off all my family's bills/debts, buy new homes & cars for my fam, pay off all my debts, etc, donate to a charity, travel, save lots...& then I'd start my own brick & mortar WhiMSy love store, open a little deli (something Mr. WhiMSy love has always wanted to do), roller skate every day, start a sticker collection, & hire a maid, chef & personal trainer!

5. Places I've lived...
Anacortes & Richland WASHINGTON, St. Petersburg FLORIDA, Luling LOUISIANA, Fayetteville NORTH CAROLINA, Virgina Beach VIRGINIA, Scottsdale & Phoenix ARIZONA, Quebec CANADA.

6. Six jobs I've had...
1-A bagger at a grocery store (my first real job)
2-Then, I advanced to CHECKER!
3-Oh gosh, I worked at McDonald's AND Burger King.
4-Guest clerk at a hotel
5-I managed a little pottery painting studio--SUPER fun!
6-My last job was as a floral designer & then I became a full-time mommy.

7. Seven Random Facts About Me...
1-I have always thought it would be fun to be on a game-show. (My faves were 'Price is Right' or 'Wheel of Fortune'. But now I'm thinking 'Deal or No Deal'.)

2-My hubby & I are on the cover of a book. (No, not a Harlequin Romance...)

3-Have you ever been to a P.F. Chang's restaurant? Well, my cousin & I once tried to climb one of the horse statues that sit outside the restaurant late one night. We needed a ladder- they're too tall.

4-I love watermelon flavored candies & orange, purple, yellow & green jellybeans, Reese's Pieces & peanut butter cups.

5-One of my favorite songs of all time is by George Michael--One More Try. Mmm...I love it!

6-A dream of mine is to someday go to The World's Longest Yard Sale. It spans over 4 states, beginning in Kentucky & ending in Alabama, & includes 450 miles of scenic backroads FILLED with an on-going yard sale heaven!

7-"The Gremlins" movie messed me up as a kid. I have never been so scared in the dark as that time in my life.

Ta-ta my little WhiMSy love-ers! I'll miss you tons but see you soon!

Tagged...& Other Stuff.

In 'WhiMSy love' shop news today, I've listed some fun vintage items. I've decided to "destash" several items in my studio that have just been sitting lonely on shelves. They need a home that will love them properly. I'll be listing more this weekend & next week. The finger puppets shown are from the 1960's.

My birthday is Monday. YAY! I LOOOOVE birthdays---especially my own. (I know you are wondering. So I'll tell ya. 33.) And I have just been informed that my birthday celebrations will begin tomorrow with a fabulous morning & afternoon with my mom, grandmother, sis & sis-in-law. We'll be sipping coffee, taking pics at a photo booth, munching lunch & doing whatever else this birthday girl pleases! I can't wait!!! I say EVERY day should be my birthday! haha!

My peanut butter cupcakes were featured on a really fun blog called The Chocolate Peanut Butter Gallery. Check it out!

I've Been Tagged

"I'm it!!", as they say. I actually don't mind being tagged. (It's the "tagging" part I'm not so good at...)

The Rules
-Link to your tagger (see above), and also post these rules on your blog.
-Share 7 facts about yourself (random or weird) on your blog.
-Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
-Let them know they are TAGGED by leaving a comment on their blog.

I was tagged by Geri at Altered Crow Designs.

1. When I was a kid (around 10-12), my mom let me paint my room in bright crazy colors AND she let me write all over the walls in my closet. SO, whenever my friends would spend the night, we'd fill the walls with anything from random grafitti to the name of our favorite boy in school.

2. One of the first times I kissed a boy--it was an awkward moment as it was--I leaned in for a kiss....& was the only one to use my tongue. Double awkward.

3. I usually grow my hair long, & then I get sick of it & cut it really, really short--like a pixie cut. And then I grow it long...cut it short, etc. It's a whole cycle with me. But lately, I've been enjoying my long hair a lot, so I don't know if there are any pixie's in my future...

4. I hate the term "lol". HATE IT. I'm sure I've used it sometime in the past. But, my term of preference, instead of "lol", is HAHA! And seriously, you can imagine what sort of laugh I emit when something funny is said or done---I can guffaw with the best of 'em!!! I LOVE to laugh & I LOVE to make people laugh!

5. I have long-ish thumbs.

6. When I was 9, I auditioned to be in The Nutcracker ballet, & got a part as one of the "party children" in the beginning scenes. I performed--along with many other children--with the New Orleans City Ballet Company & it was a very intense experience, one that I'll never forget.

7. I drool for Edward Norton, Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey, Gerard Butler, & Ryan Gosling (he's in my FAVORITE movie EVER:--The Notebook)....just to name a few, ya know?
