Cardboard Castanets

Got this idea from a book entitled "The Kids Can Press Jumbo Book of Easy Crafts" by Judy Ann Sadler (copyright 2001).
They're so simple to make. You just need cardboard, various buttons, a glue gun & scissors.
Cut the cardboard in strips. The size doesn't matter. Just eyeball it.
Fold the pieces in half.
If your buttons have shanks/loopy things on the back...
...you can remove them with some pliers.
Just hot glue the buttons onto the cardboard, trying to get them to end up even on both sides.
That's it!
Clickety-clack away!
Oh, & here's a lame 12 second castanets concert for you to enjoy. Rock on.
