Summer Diary Day 45: 4th of July Tin Can Wind Sock

Dear summer diary,
Happy 4th of July! I found an Independence Day craft, via Pinterest, for a tin can wind sock that I thought would be perfect for today. Click HERE for the tutorial.

The girls painted large empty cans with red paint, cut out white star stickers from contact paper, & hot glued strips of blue & white fabric inside the can. Zoey chose to cut her fabric streamers to different lengths.

Finally, I hammered two holes on the top of the can & threaded a ribbon through for hanging. And, all in good time, a storm was coming through so our wind socks were able to toss away in the breeze.

  1. That's so cute! Will see if I can get my grandsons to make them.
