Week in Review: May 28-June 3

I'm a bit late getting this out, but here it is anyway...

Last week was a busy week. Our first full week of summer break. And a fun weekend full of Camp Clarke Days, an annual community celebration commemorating the Camp Clarke Bridge built in 1867 to facilitate gold rush travelers going to and from the Black Hills. (So, yes, it's an event in praise of a bridge.)
At Camp Clarke Days I helped to head up the Sidewalk Chalk Contest. I also helped eat a giant pile of frilly chips, a funnel cake & a delicious gyro sandwich. MMMmmm.
During the frog & toad races I was attacked by a slimy animal & thus SCREAMED at the top of my lungs! Laughter ensued. I'm happy to entertain.

Let's see, what else did I do?
I...
...made a big pancake brekkie for the fam.
...finished reading "The Invisible Man" by H.G. Wells.
...started reading "Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen.
...got sunburned.
...went to Tacos Mexico.
...fell asleep to the sound of falling rain.
...woke from the same sleep to the sound of a tornado siren. (False alarm. Phew!)
...got all sandy at the beach while making sandcastles. Pazely & her friend brought along blueprints they sketched for making their own sandcastle.
...took a glow bath. (Hey, I get to have fun too!)
...made jewelry from Legos.
...colored with chalk, until 12:30 am.
...got a lovely, large, swollen spider bite.
...watched my girls, giddy, make an awesome muddy mess.
